How to book
Most of our international students pay for their tenancy in one upfront payment – that way you don’t have to worry about rent again for the whole of your stay.
However, if you’d rather space things out then you can opt to pay in three easy-to-manage instalments. All you need is a UK-based guarantor – that’s someone who lives and works in the UK full time and is willing to guarantee your payments. If you don’t make a payment, we ask them for the money instead (so try not to do this!).
We carry out credit checks on all guarantors – and, unfortunately, you can’t be guaranteed by a company or your government. Only an individual UK resident will do.
However you choose to pay, you’ll find things a lot easier with a UK bank account. To set one up, simply visit a branch of your chosen bank with two forms of ID (eg passport and driving licence) and some proof of address such as a bill or, if you’re moving directly to the UK to start studying, your Student Castle contract. You can also use SagePay, a great online service that automatically converts payments into your own currency.
